What are the pros of having all transportation vehicles switch to alternative fuels by 2050 ?
What are the pros of passing a law that would mandate that all new passenger vehicles in the United States should be powered by alternative fuels by 2050?
I need some of the vital, but more obscure reasons that most people would never think of…
thanks!
I don’t feel the need to make this into a law…but this is a school project.

Why must there be a need to PASS a law to make this happen?
Let people MAKE money at this, and it will happen on its own! People are stumbling over themselves looking for a new technology that either can convert plane tap water or salt water into energy. These are crazy times! People were crazy like this during the development of conventional GAS engines! It’s the SAME thing. Just stay out of the way, and the problem will resolve itself!
Go to YouTube and search for “free energy.” You will find ALL sorts of people with videos telling you how they have discovered “free” NRG. Bah! One video that intrigued me until my eyes noticed how BIG the motor was, was this one about heating water. It was interesting how he heated it, but the claims that it is MORE efficient than 100% is pap. His motor was HUGE, and the amount of steam it produced was minuscule! So, his claims of >100% efficiency are pap. The Law of Cosines trashes ALL of these claims.
Those who like to claim that gas engines are destroying the environment like to forget that a SINGLE active volcanic eruption dumps more CO2 into the atmosphere than we tiny humans have EVER dumped into it since day one. The planet does a fine job of cleaning up its messes. In the process of cleaning up its own messes, it cleans up for us too!
One term to describe this relationship we humans share with mother earth may be symbiotic, but those who don’t see it this way can’t embrace this because it reveals that there MAY be a higher power out there helping us get along! *laughter*
the pros?
well obviously oil is running low and is harming the environment, also we get it from countries that are unfriendly with us (Iraq Saudi Arabia etc…) and this heavy dependency is obviously BAD.
alternative energy is cleaner for the environment (not all of them though)
and can be made from things like dung, garbage and i heard even liposuction fat, saw dust, rubber etc.. all that junk that we need to get rid of we can turn into fuel. also alternative fuels are domestic so less reliance on foreign countries and more jobs for US (which we need) and better business for farmers since soy is a big thing in alt. fuel. Since there is only one fossil fuel, but hundreds of alternative fuels, we have a lot of variety to work with and see with alt. fuel does which better.
ofcourse there’s alot of bad stuff about alt. fuels too…
