   We generate electricity by using some force to make turbines spin. For example, nuclear power plants use water or steam heated by the fuel. Hydroelectric plants use the force of water passing through ducts in a dam. Wind power is the same, just using the wind to spin the blades of a windmill and turn the generator.

   Wind is just moving air, an example of kinetic energy. The wind turns the blades of a windmill, which spins a turbine, changing the kinetic energy into electrical energy. This can be distributed directly to users over power lines or stored in batteries in the form of chemical energy for later use.

   Not complicated. All electricity is produced by turning an electric motor in reverse. Operating a motor with electricity turns fan blades. Turning the fan blades in reverse produces electricity.

   Water power plants use falling water to turn electric generators.

   Coal power plants heat steam which turns electric generators.

   Atomic power plants produces heat which produces steam which turns generators.

   Therefore wind turning a windmill is able to turn a generator to produce electricity.

   It is not reliable and doesn’t blow all the time. In Texas most times when u need the wind for power to give u lights the wind stops.

   to use wind energy we hav to use instrument wind mill its mostly useful in coastal areas where it is windy.in a windmill the wind rotates the blades and a process goes on to generate electricity or power .the windmills is also used in grinding grains ,to pump water and to generate electricity.
