Nancy Pelosi has stock in wind energy companies, is that why she’s blocking drilling?

wind energy

All these global warming nuts dont practice what they preach. They fly around in private jets and caravans of suv’s but tell us to drive junky little go carts. Nancy Pelosi is dropping a bipartisan effort to drill but she won’t. Could it be because she has stock and investments in wind energy companies. She disclosed this on her financial disclosusre thing herself so its true.
Hookem, you said she’s in bed with T Boone Pickens, really bad mental image there.

  1. Ms. Pelosi cannot be trusted, but she is blocking drilling in a power play just to show she can.

  2. No different then Republicans that own oil stock. Oil companies already have wells and land that they are not using. My questions is why did the Republicans not approve drilling when they had control of congress in 2005 and we were freaking out about $3 gal. Just a political stunk because they can`t win with the economy and the real issues.

  3. T. Boone Pelosi? No. She’s blocking drilling because she’s a moron. But she’s in bed with Pickens because she’s crooked. They only way that wind power will work is with massive… MASSIVE… government subsidies. She’s in a position to push these subsidies along. And she’s in a position to profit from them.

  4. No, it isn’t. Oil is a transportation fuel. Wind is used to generate power.

If she blocks new nuclear plants, coal plants or gas plants, then perhaps it will be because she has stock in wind power companies.

I’m no fan of Pelosi’s, believe me – I consider her to be the “wicked witch of the west” – but oil and electricity have almost nothing to do with each other. We generate less than 1% of our electricity using oil, and that is heavy oil, a byproduct of the refining process, which is used as a back up fuel in times of regional natural gas shortages or price spikes.

  5. Could be, although there are a lot of democrats that criticize oil companies publicly but have huge investments in them. I’m not sure if Pelosi does. She’s a fool either way because the answer to our energy problems right now includes all of the fossil fuels as well as alternative energy sources we can get our hands on.

The other thing to consider is that she doesn’t want to have to go on record as voting for or against drilling. At this point she would get major criticism either way she goes. If she votes agasint it, then she’s voting against something that the majority of americans support, but if she votes for it then she’s the biggest flip-flopper in history. So instead of doing the right thing she’s trying to save political face.

Nancy Pelosi’s constituency is California and she has to protect their interests. Nobody in coastal areas with beautiful beaches wants oil slicks washing up on the sand, fishing ruined and sea mammals subjected to sonar tests of the sea bottom.

The oil companies had the biggest windfall profits ever, making the president and vice president far richer in one day than what Nancy Pelosi can make from investment in wind farming ever.

  8. ah yes the all-powerful and dangerous wind lobby. their record profits and top positions on the list of most powerful corporations in the world makes the oil industry look like a group of kids selling lemonade. clearly the wind lobby is much more powerful than the oil lobby.
