can anyone tell me where to search on the internet for info on converting a gasoline engine to bio-diesel?

  1. I gas engine will not convert to diesel of any kind sorry man. You’ll need a diesel engine before going green.

  2. I’m not sure it’s possible, though I recently searched “biodegradable fuel” and found some interesting sites.
    I wish now I had taken note of them, but await your answers with interest.

  3. Most sites I found advised against it. The factory V-8 diesels that were actually converted gas engines, performed poorly. That’s why newer diesels have gone to cummins and other actual diesel manufactures for their engines.
    Even if you could do it, the cost would be more than buying a diesel engine and putting it in.
    Edit, Wikipedia says the old GM engines were not converted V-8’s. They do however concur, that those engines were unreliable.

  4. you cannot convert your gas engine to run on diesel.
    Diesel engines use compression to run .Gas engines use combustion to run.Bio diesel is mixture of diesel and cooking oils or soybean oil
