Interesting question. Chip fat is a good place to start. But that said there is so little bio diesel to go around once everyone has jumpered on the bandwagon what will the price be then.
The easist thing to do is put cooking oil in the tank. But be careful as not all diesel engines will accept it. You will need to put some ordinary diesel in as well of the coloking oil will not light.

chip fat or vegatable oil will do but if you get stopped by the police and askes about you will need to show a recipt from a car garage as making your own is illegal and they do know if you are using bio-diesel as it smells different to normal. its all about the level of diesel you add to your ingredients if the is too much oil or fat they will fine you and can take your car just be careful and do a lot of checking up on it first. my work mate makes his own and he buys big 5 gallon drums of vegatable oil from wholesalers lol.
