Will mechanics that one worked on combustible engine cars learn about electric cars and then get certified to work on those? Because they are vastly different kinds of vehicles.

I’m planning on doing a video debunking any myths or downfalls of Electric Cars.

I’ve got speed and range, knowing that EV’s now can get 200 miles per charge and go up to 135 mph.

and I got pollution/efficiency. they get 90% efficiency as opposed to 25%

are there any others though? and how could they be disputed?

I ran into someone who had a ‘70 Camaro who told me this…I drive a ‘69 LeMans. He said that I should put 93 octane when I fill up and also suggested that I put one gallon of racing fuel when I fill up all the way with 93 octane. Is that a good idea?
Also, he said that Hess sells gasoline without ethanol but it’s more expensive.This true?
Its a stock Pontiac 350 V8 engine

The government are trying to save the environment by raising road tax on “gas guzzling” cars, what would happen if we all drove electric cars (currently road tax free) and they lost all the revenue on fuel and road tax, we would all be saving the environment but the government would be losing billions in revenue, would they then change their minds and decide electricity resources were on the downturn and want to ‘charge’ us the earth for using electric cars, what are your thoughts on this ?

have finally found a station that pumps biodiesel fuel for the public in my area of Maine. We are going to buy a 1997 Jetta TDI that already runs on diesel and would really like to convert it to biodiesel. We’ve asked many people and done a ton of research but cant seem to find a consitant or even reasonable answer. So maybe you can help.
How would we go about converting our car? Do we need to do anything at all? I’ve gotten so many answers from just changing a rubber gasket occasionally to installing a convertion kit. I even got one mechanic that said it would require a complete overhaul of the engine. Biodiesel is something I’ve been wanting to do with my vehicle for a long time and now that I have FINALLY found an affordable car in my area that has the possiblity of doing it at a reasonable cost, I’m looking for some actual facts on what it will take to do this.
Any advice or leads to a more informative sight, person, phone number, whatever would be lovely. Thanks in advance for any help that you can give.

Title says all, my friend knows someone with a hybrid car that put normal gas in and the engine melted. I was wondering if it was plastic since the gasoline would have melted the plastic.
